Phoenix companies: The problem, the law, and proposals for reform
The Government has announced its intention to update the law’s response to phoenix companies. Tim Fitzgerald and Adam Conti from Bell Gully will discuss the ever-challenging issue of illegitimate phoenix company activity, how it compares to lawful restructure options, and how the law responds to abusive phoenix company activity in New Zealand and overseas. The presentation will address both proposed and possible options for law reform in New Zealand.
