Only RITANZ members who are Licensed Insolvency Practitioners are permitted to take insolvency engagements, with the exception of solvent liquidations, where those handling solvent liquidations must be Qualified Statutory Accountant, Lawyer or LIP. Please do your due diligence and check the credentials of anyone that you are looking to engage and when checking it is imperative that you conduct a search of the Companies Office register to determine whether an individual holds the relevant licence. Anyone taking appointments without holding the correct licence is subject to severe penalties under s8 of the Act.
