Dear RITANZ Members
We are pleased to announce that the Agreement between Chartered Accountants ANZ and the Restructuring and Insolvency Turnaround Association New Zealand Incorporated (RITANZ) has been executed and members can now submit their applications for accreditation as a New Zealand Accredited Insolvency Practitioner.
As you know, the joint self-regulatory regime has been designed to improve and enhance the ethical standards and professional competency of insolvency practitioners in New Zealand to bring it in line with global best practice.
In accordance with the RITANZ Rules, members accepting regulated insolvency engagements after 30 November 2015 must be accredited.
Members are encouraged to submit their applications to Chartered Accountants ANZ as soon as possible to enable time for processing. Members of RITANZ who are not also members of Chartered Accountants ANZ (or non-member principals of NZICA) should apply to the Ministry of Justice for a copy of their criminal convictions record now as this must be submitted together with their application form.
More detail about the accreditation process and copies of the application forms can be accessed here.
Please contact Chartered Accountants ANZ Customer Support on 0800 469 422 and ask to speak to the NZ Regulation team or email nzregulation@charteredaccountantsanz.com if you have any queries about the application process.
