Topic: Employment issues arising in insolvency
Emma will cover a range of topics relating to employee issues which arise in insolvency. This will include a refresher on the basics when it comes to employee preferential claims and some interesting employment issues that you might need to navigate from time to time. She will also address some developing areas of employment law that are likely to impact insolvency scenarios and take a look at what’s on the horizon. Sam will cover receivers’ and administrators’ applications to the court to extend the 14 day period for personal liability for wages or salary.
Presenters:
Emma Peterson is a Partner in the Litigation team specialising in employment law and health and safety. She advises on all aspects of employment law with a particular focus on personal grievances, issues regarding confidentiality and restraints of trade, restructurings, and employment issues arising in insolvency scenarios.
Sam Jones is a Senior Solicitor in the Litigation team with a focus on restructuring and insolvency. He advises practitioners and creditors in relation to liquidations, voluntary administrations, receiverships and enforcement matters.
